# Alphas

### The Decision Makers

The Speculate DAO Alphas are a group of crypto enthusiasts who hold more than 500,000 $SPEC and wish to consistently contribute to the expansion of the project. 

The condition for membership is that they lock at least 500,000 $SPEC to bring stability and security to the project over the long term and they work within the Alpha group to evolve the operations, foundation and marketing. 

***Within the private Alpha community members can make proposals on a host of topics they feel passionate about from investments to marketing and strategy with the remaining Alphas voting on those proposals giving the project a distributed governance model.*** 

The Alphas are also individuals who have a keen interest in expanding their crypto knowledge.

### Multi Signature Wallets

To operate with maximum security several Alphas are signatories on the project investment, foundation and treasury wallet addresses. This removes any single point of risk/failure with each signer needing to sign with a cold storage device. These span various timezones and continents.
